Once upon a time La Petite Villa

It all began on Terre-de-Haut, a small island in the Guadeloupe archipelago, where I, Samantha, grew up. It's about 30 minutes by boat from Guadeloupe. This small island lives mainly from fishing and tourism.

Look, it's right here:

As I was saying, Terre-de-Haut is known for its fishermen and attracts more and more people every year, both Guadeloupeans and tourists. Whether for a day trip or a few days' getaway, this island will charm you, just as it charmed Eric and Laurence. These two nature lovers own a tourist accommodation in the commune of Saint-Claude in Guadeloupe, and decided to expand on this little island that I love so much.
That's how, in 2018, I was able to cross paths with their son, Eliott, a young Guadeloupean with a love of fishing and sailing who ended up moving to Terre-de-Haut to make his passions his profession.
Éric and Laurence eventually found their happiness and bought a small villa that would mark the beginning of their beautiful adventure in the Saintes. La Petite Villa des Saintes (as they call it), located on Route de la Colline, overlooks the Bay of Les Saintes, one of the most beautiful bays in the world, and is ideal for a romantic getaway in the Caribbean.

Following the success of the Petite Villa des Saintes and the growing number of tourists to Terre-de-Haut, Eric and Laurence decided to expand, and in 2023, a second Petite Villa was opened.

That same year, in order to be as available as possible and make your stay unforgettable, Eliott's parents asked me to join their family business and be the link between them and their guests. So it's me who, through various articles, will tell you all about Les Petites Villas des Saintes and everything that surrounds them, so that you can discover all the secrets of this beautiful island so dear to my heart.Let's get on board with me and discover the 7 islands that make up the Saintes archipelago. Let's start with the inhabited islands. The best known, but also the most popular with tourists, is the beautiful island of Terre-de-Haut, home to Les Petites Villas. The second inhabited island in the archipelago is Terre-de-Bas, a little less touristy than its sister island, but with a wild and quiet side that also gives it its charm.

The remaining 5 islands are more like islets, and are all uninhabited. The easiest to access and most interesting to visit is the îlets à Cabrit, which I'll tell you more about shortly. The last four are not, or only rarely, visited: Le Grand-îlet, La Coche, Les Augustins and La Redonde.
Now you know a little more about the archipelago where I grew up. There are still many things, from the best-known to the most secret, that I can't wait to show you. But for that, you'll have to wait for the next article.
